What are your payment terms?
You are going to want to know when and how much the deposit is. Is it nonrefundable? When is the final payment due?
What is your cancellation policy?
Things happen, so it is best to know your options should you have to cancel or if the vendor has to cancel on you!
Can you refer me to any other vendors?
Are you also looking for a cake decorator, a DJ, or another vendor for your event? Ask your trusted vendor if they have any connections or local suggestions to help your event run smoothly.
Have you worked at my venue before?
Are they familiar with the venue? Do they have a relationship with the venue owners? Do they have suggestions for best event flow?
What is your setup & take-down schedule?
How long will they need to set up before the event? Do they need to come back post-event to collect any items? Do they offer any clean up services? If so, are they any additional costs associated with this?
By asking your vendor these questions before or during the booking process you can decide if this is a vendor you want to work with or if you need to find someone else.
